Privacy Policy

Spliq ("the app", "we") helps you track income and expenses, split shared bills, and work toward financial goals. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and (if you connect it) your WhatsApp phone number, used to sign you in and identify you to people you split bills with.
• Financial data you enter — incomes, expenses, goals, budgets, Split Me events, settlements, and notes. This data belongs to you and is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore).
• Receipts and images — photos you attach to expenses or settlements are stored in Firebase Storage and are visible to the members of the relevant Split Me event. Receipt scanning runs on your device; scanned images are not sent to third-party OCR services.
• Contacts — if you grant permission, the app reads your address book locally to help you add Split Me members. Your contact list is never uploaded to our servers.
• Usage and device data — basic diagnostics and push-notification tokens, used to deliver reminders and improve reliability.

AI features

The Advisor feature sends the financial figures needed to answer your question to our secure advisor service to generate guidance. Your data is not used to train third-party AI models.

Advertising and purchases

The free plan may show ads served by Google AdMob, which may use your advertising identifier as described in Google's privacy policy. Subscriptions are processed by Google Play; we never see your card details.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with members of Split Me events you participate in (names, balances, expenses, receipts), and with the service providers above (Firebase, Google Play, AdMob) as needed to run the app.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete records in the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, use our account deletion request page or email info@spliqcloud.com from the address linked to your account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and protected by Firebase security rules so that only you and the members of your shared events can access it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
